These classes are for puppies who are under 12weeks old at their start date. Please keep reading for all important information.
This option is a flexible enrolment for anyone who is unable to commit to 4 consecutive weeks on the same day. This enrolment allows you to still attend 4 Puppy Classes but on dates that suit you.
Please nominate your chosen dates in the comments section at checkout. You can choose a combination of Saturday or Sunday dates.
- Classes run on Saturdays and Sundays except the following dates: Sunday 19th and 26th July, Saturday 1st August, Sunday 2nd August, Sunday 30th August and 6th September.
- Classes are at 8am on other Saturday and Sunday dates.
- You can choose to attend 2 classes in one weekend if required (Sat and Sun) and you can choose to skip weekends. It’s up to you- You tell us which classes you wish to attend.
- It’s best to nominate your dates at the time of booking as classes may fill.
- Any changes/cancellations to your schedule of classes must be made more than 48hrs prior to the class.
- Puppy must not be walking in public places prior to completion of the 4 classes in this level.
Puppy classes during the critical socialisation period are vital for healthy development of a puppy. Don’t leave it until your puppy or dog has problems; by then it can be too late. You will never again get such an important period of time in your dogs life; you have approximately 6 weeks to make the most of it (9-12 weeks is ideal). Puppy classes are like the foundations of a house; build them properly and you will prevent problems later on. If problems arise over time then it is much easier to fix a puppy who has strong foundations. Well run puppy classes should develop social skills (not just play but a good balance of appropriate social behaviour). They are critical for developing confidence, basic training and trust. Foundation training is covered but there are a lot of important things to cover in puppy classes so most training commands come later (you can teach an old dog new tricks, but you cannot get the same benefits of socialisation after 16 weeks of age).
The price includes 4 x 40minute classes. Classes run on a rolling enrolment. Full details will be emailed to you after booking.
Your puppy must have been in their home for 10 days or more & isolated from public places (an essential quarantine period for the safety of your puppy and others in the class). Puppies must have had at least their first vaccination & be up to date & current with vaccinations- proof of vaccination required.
If your puppy is 12weeks or older…OR is fully vaccinated and able to go walking in public…please book the Taming the Teenage Pup course instead.
Our location is in Oldbury. The classes are held on a private property where only vaccinated dogs and puppies are allowed to attend. All Training is outdoors in a rural paddock environment.
